Associate Failure Analysis Engineer - Contract Location: Acton, MA Shift: Start time between 6:00-8:00 AM (EST) Pay: Up to $50/hour We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Failure Analysis Engineer to support quality investigations and product testing in a regulated manufacturing environment. This hands-on contract role focuses on failure analysis, root cause investigations, and quality system compliance for post-market products. Key Responsibilities Perform product testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigations Review device history records (DHRs) and lot acceptance data; identify trends Create and maintain quality records (CAPA, NCR, audits, training documentation) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inspection and testing processes Support ISO and FDA audit readiness and compliance activities Analyze quality data and generate reports using Excel Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and efficiency Troubleshoot new failure modes and recommend corrective actions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific field (or equivalent experience) Strong analytical, organizational, and technical documentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis Electrical and/or mechanical background preferred Experience in quality, regulated industries (e.g., medical device, lab environment) is a plus Knowledge of ISO 13485, QSR, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred Work Environment Combination of lab and desk work (sitting and standing required) Occasional light lifting and use of basic tools Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD & D Insurance Advance your career in quality engineering-click "Apply Now."
