Student Well-Being

The Office of Well Being provides counseling and wellness services that support students' personal and academic success. Work in the office includes counseling services, case management, and wellness programming support.

Job Description

Provides health education and outreach to a targeted population, community and/or other healthcare facilities/providers and child development services. May also direct and/or provide student counseling regarding financial assistance, academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine assignments using existing procedures, practices, techniques, etc.
  • Assists in the development of Health Services strategies and plans
  • Performs a variety of standard assignments and responsibilities and makes recommendations for improvement/efficiency, resourcing, etc., as necessary
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of current trends in the Health Services function and uses these to perform job duties
  • Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems and/or correct standard, routine issues
  • Researches and/or analyzes information and uses standard practices to make informed judgments and recommendations
  • Has impact on own work team
  • Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, noting when obstacles may impact outcomes
  • Exchanges information, asks questions, and checks for audience understanding
  • Develops working relationships with various internal parties and may work with external parties, as needed
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possesses conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within the Health Services function
  • Applies general knowledge of the organization and Health Services techniques developed through education and experiences
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $22.10-$25.96 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
