Overview

Salary: $54,971.00 - $84,289.00 + eligible for bonus program

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising customer service and operational support activities related to customer compliance, Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OS&D) processing, billing and invoicing accuracy, claims management, and documentation control. This role ensures daily execution discipline, accurate recordkeeping, timely issue resolution, and adherence to customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.


The Logistics Operations Supervisor coordinates closely with warehouse operations, planning, finance, customs, and compliance teams to support service continuity, claims reduction, audit readiness, and consistent documentation practices.



Responsibilities

    Oversee daily OS&D office tasks and ensure proper execution by assigned team members.
  • Ensure photos are taken of freight on the floor, including bubble freight, new lines, and overall OS&D areas.
  • Monitor and respond to OS&D inquiries received via email.
  • Review Target allocations in SmartSheets for dock check verification and confirm new allocations.
  • Ensure load slips are printed and distributed accurately.
  • Review Damage Intake Sheets in SmartSheets to confirm claim or no-claim status.
  • Maintain and update the Damage Log, ensuring copies are printed and shared with the team.
  • Review tallies and identify items requiring hard closing.
  • Receive dock check updates from the team prior to first break and update documentation accordingly.
  • Report discrepancies exceeding defined thresholds (i.e.,>5%) to management.
  • Document, photograph, and report NIF issues, water damage incidents, and in-house damages.
  • Verify shipped items against Allocation Dock Checks, including confirmation of brown-taped shipments.
  • Ensure updated Dock Checks and Damage Logs are printed and retained for records.
  • Oversee floor execution of OS&D logging, processing, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure OS&D freight is processed and shipped in accordance with customer and internal requirements.
  • Coordinate dispatch of Air Freight and LTL shipments as required.
  • Oversee billing activities for assigned facilities, including claims support and drayage invoice coordination.
  • Review billing and invoicing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Partner with Planning and Finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
  • Ensure billing support documentation is properly retained and audit-ready.
  • Oversee printer room operations, including vessel packet printing, assembly, and distribution.
  • Ensure tally sheets for vessels are filed accurately and retained.
  • Support Customer Service with vessel documentation, pending files, and pull plans.
  • Ensure documentation workflows meet customer requirements, including Target compliance standards.
  • Support OS&D investigations, documentation accuracy, customs compliance, and customs cage processes.
  • Assist with racking inventory compliance, SSL surveys, and audit preparation.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual, lease, and regulatory compliance requirements across assigned facilities.
  • Support or lead special projects, non-standard operational initiatives, and customer-driven requests.
  • Maintain and update SmartSheets, logs, and workflow documentation.
  • Communicate operational updates and support implementation of process changes.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, task prioritization, and guidance to customer service and support staff.
  • Support Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) initiatives and employee communication efforts.
  • Reinforce documentation discipline, accountability, and standard work practices.


Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or operations support within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Working knowledge of OS&D processes, billing/invoicing support, and documentation control.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related experience as a warehouse supervisor and/or lead.
  • Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and Warehouse/Yard Management Systems preferred.
  • Experience supporting high-compliance retail customers (ie: Target).
  • Familiarity with customs documentation and audit support.
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience.

Required Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or industrial setting involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Regular use of hands, arms, and fingers, including, but not limited to, pulling, lifting, pushing, and handling materials or equipment.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly; heavier loads may require assistance or equipment.
  • Frequent physical activity requires bending, crouching, climbing, twisting, and balancing.
  • Frequent visual focus required for tasks including, but not limited to, reading labels, inspecting materials, and safely operating equipment.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, odors, and moving machinery or vehicles (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required use of appropriate PPE, such as safety shoes, gloves, vests, eye and/or hearing protection.
  • Strong teamwork and communication required to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Must maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and report hazards promptly.
  • Regular, punctual attendance and compliance with company safety policies may include overtime or variable shifts.
