    Position Summary

    Lead assigned craft personnel and perform hands-on facilities maintenance work involving general building systems, preventive maintenance, service calls, and corrective repairs across a multi-trade operations environment.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily craft assignments, coordinate work priorities, and support timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, finishes, fixtures, and related facility components.
  • Read work orders, manuals, drawings, and safety procedures to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, other trades, vendors, and the customer to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of labor, materials, work performed, and follow-up needs.
  • Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
  • Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
  • Experience as a skilled maintenance craft worker in commercial, institutional, government, or industrial facilities is required or strongly preferred.
  • Prior lead experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate small teams and field work assignments is preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad multi-craft experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs is preferred.
  • Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
  • Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade operations and maintenance team.

Physical Requirements

This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, lifting, carrying tools or materials, working in mechanical spaces, and performing duties indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
