CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer (Mid-to-Principal Level) to join our Water Team in Bethlehem, PA. In this principal-level role, you will lead critical initiatives, mentor high-performing teams, and deliver forward-thinking solutions that strengthen infrastructure, protect public health, and support sustainable communities.



What You'll Do:

    Lead all phases of multifaceted water/wastewater infrastructure projects such as treatment plants, collection systems, water distribution, pump stations, pfas treatment, and rehabilitation programs-from concept through completion-by developing advanced engineering designs, technical reports, and contract documentation, while guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineering staff
  • Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues across multiple teams and projects
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed project phases with engineering and project management teams
  • Mentor and provide technical review for junior engineering staff
  • Conduct engineering studies, investigations, and prepare reports for company leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare technical proposals and external presentations for clients, the general public, and regulatory agencies, showcasing CHA's commitment to sustainable water solutions


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-20 years of progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering fundamentals and specialty areas
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
  • Deep understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws

Salary Range:

$125,000 - $175,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
