Overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for an experienced, strategic Antenna Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our global antenna engineering team and drive the development of industry-leading antenna technologies. In this position, you will lead a team of RF and Antenna Engineers and Technicians, define technology roadmaps, oversee product development, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative antenna solutions for positioning, navigation, timing, and communication applications.

This position will join a high-performance team focused on designing, developing, and delivering advanced antenna technologies for customers across aerospace, defense, agriculture, survey, and autonomous systems. Our customers rely on Hexagon Autonomous Solutions' industry-leading technology when building their own solutions. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Torrance, California.



Responsibilities

As our Antenna Electrical Engineering Manager, you would be responsible for:

    Leading, coaching, and developing a global team of RF and Antenna Engineers and Technicians responsible for antenna and RF component design, development, and testing.
  • Defining antenna technology strategy and collaborating with business leaders to develop product and technology roadmaps.
  • Managing the technical lifecycle of the antenna product portfolio in partnership with Product Management.
  • Working closely with Project Engineering to prioritize development activities and execute product development plans that meet customer requirements.
  • Providing technical leadership to Sales, Product Management, and Operations by supporting customer engagements, feasibility studies, technical proposals, troubleshooting, and RFQ responses.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across RF and antenna engineering processes while implementing best practices in collaboration with Hexagon R&D teams.
  • Maintaining technical accountability for the electrical design and performance of all antenna products.
  • Monitoring and improving key engineering metrics including development schedules, product quality, production stability, customer corrective actions, innovation initiatives, and cost reduction programs.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum five years of experience designing and developing RF and antenna systems.
  • Previous experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment and associated software.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully bringing hardware products to market.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR regulations or obtain the required U.S. Government authorization.

Nice-to-Have
  • Five or more years of B2B hardware product development experience.
  • Previous antenna design experience.
  • Experience using Ansys HFSS.
  • Experience with RF design tools such as ADS, Xpedition, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of environmental and robustness standards including MIL-STD-810G and DO-160G.

Compensation & Benefits

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division provides the following compensation range and a general description of other compensation and benefits. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The Company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range or offer other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state or federal law. Our benefits and bonus plans are reviewed annually and are subject to change at the company's discretion.

Hiring Salary Range: $101,000 - $149,000 per annum

Bonus Eligibility: We offer a company profit share and individual incentive-based bonus programs.

Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefit plan that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and a generous 401(k) company match. We also provide tax savings plans for health, dependent care and commuter expenses.
