COLUMBIA Program Office Representative Sr/ Specialist /Principal
Overview The COLUMBIA Class Program Office is seeking a program representative to support efforts required to track CLIN1000 financial performance. In addition, the program rep will understand and manage tasks associated with cost containment initiatives (CCIs) and Class Lead Yard Support (CLYS) tasking. In the Program Office you will get exposure to and interface with multiple organizations, including design, engineering, planning, finance, contracts, construction, facilities, and PMS397. As the design work for COLUMBIA ramps down, follow on ship support and design changes in the form of tasks are increasing. Efficient resource transitions and proper performance on remaining work is needed to meet Program goals. The selected candidate, will be responsible for working with engineering managers to coordinate, evaluate, and manage cost to complete for remaining scope for COLUMBIA. In addition, the candidate will be expected to work with members of program office and program finance to understand the contract, to help guide proper charging for remaining work. The selected candidate will learn and understand the process and importance of properly scoping work and planning for the resource loading required to complete work for all design and engineering organizations working COLUMBIA. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who possesses strong communications skills and has an eagerness to learn. Work hours are somewhat flexible with occasional work from home, when needed. Responsibilities: The program representative will work with the engineering managers and their staff to ensure successful execution of scope on CLIN1000. The individual will also work with Task Leads, design and engineering, program planning, program finance, and program contracts to manage their respective CCI/CLYS tasking. This role requires an understanding of project management, Earned Value Management (EVM) and EB business systems to manage manpower plans for remaining work to be completed. Frequent communication with senior management will be necessary. The job responsibilities will include:
