Assistant Vice President - Data Analytics - AI Enablement - Remote

Symetra
paid holidays, sick time, 401(k)
United States
Jun 30, 2026

Symetra is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join a fast-growing team of builders inside our Data Analytics organization, the AI Enablement team! This team's goal is to accelerate AI adoption across the company in two ways: by building shared platforms, tooling, and patterns that let other teams effectively integrate AI into their workflows, and by shipping AI-powered applications for the most important use cases.

About the role

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for a major part of what we build. You'll lead cross-functional teams, with the exact scope shaped around your strengths and what the team needs as we grow. You'll set strategy and own delivery for your area, partner with the business and IT, and stay technical enough to lead builders.

What You will Do

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and business impact for your part of AI Enablement including key performance indicators and return on investment.
  • Lead several teams and the managers who run them.
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization to translate AI into plans and roadmaps for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use good judgment on when to apply AI vs a simpler solution, and stay close enough to the technology to guide builders.
  • Grow leaders and stay close to the work to guide technical decisions and uphold high standards.
