Job Title: Manufacturing Site Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Company: The Chemours Company FC, LLC Location: Gregory, TX Perform engineering services for unit designated as highly hazardous processes (OSHA PSM Covered Processes); provide engineering and troubleshooting assistance to the sites unit processes, including all synthesis, refining, storage and shipping operations to maintain and improve the safety, operability, quality, and cost. Requires Bachelors in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or as Electrical and Instrument Supervisor and/or Electrical and Instrument Reliability Engineer and/or Project Manager. Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated personal initiative and flexibility to move projects forward safely and efficiently in highly hazardous process environments (OSHA PSM Covered Processes); proven experience in instrumentation engineering, including configuration, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of analytical and control instrumentation; strong ability to diagnose and solve technical problems, making data-based decisions related to reliability and safety issues; experience leading and participating in Safety, Reliability, and Quality Investigations, as well as leading or participating in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including Electrical Hazard Analysis (EHA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Management of Change Technology/Subtle (MOC-T/S); manage and lead Reliability and Process Improvements in PSM High Hazard Process (HHP) manufacturing areas that involves dealing with Highly Toxic Materials (HTM); project management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and cost control for capital and cost projects in chemical manufacturing; demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage short-duration deadlines, emergency situations, and multiple priorities, both independently and within multidisciplinary teams; excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize and deliver solutions based on client needs; willingness and ability to wear PPE (steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators) as required in hazardous environments; commitment to continuous improvement and added value in all engineering activities; Hazardous Area Electrical and Instrumentation Design: experience designing, specifying, commissioning, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems for classified/hazardous areas, in compliance with NEC, ISA, and ATEX standards; Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Functional Safety: Proficiency in implementing and sustaining SIS for hazardous processes, including interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, and SIL-oriented lifecycle activities; Process Control and Automation: Skills in programming, troubleshooting, and integrating controls systems for hazardous chemical processes, including PLCs, interlock logic, emergency shutdown systems, and continuous process monitoring; development and implementation of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure reliability and availability; Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring sustainability and modernization of facilities to meet regulatory requirements and improve production processes; Technology Integration: Identification and application of new technologies to maintain high performance and safety standards in manufacturing operations. Less than 10% travel, primarily domestic, with occasional international trips for vendor Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), training purposes and site visits within the company.
