SUMMARY:

Laukoa is seeking a Janitor to provide custodial and cleaning services that maintain clean, safe, orderly, and professional facilities. The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting interior and exterior areas, maintaining restrooms and common spaces, responding to custodial work orders, and supporting seasonal needs such as snow and ice removal. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and professional environment while following applicable cleaning, safety, and environmental regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Disinfect and dust surfaces, fixtures, and other designated areas.

* Clean and maintain floors, carpets, walls, windows, glass, blinds, and coverings.

* Clean and restock restrooms, shower rooms, locker rooms, and other common areas.

* Empty wastebaskets and police interior and exterior areas for trash and debris.

* Clean and maintain exterior hard-surface areas.

* Assist with snow and ice removal as required.

* Respond to custodial work orders based on established priorities.

* Use environmentally responsible or green cleaning practices when applicable.

* Follow local, state, and federal regulations related to cleaning products, chemical handling, safety, and waste disposal.

* Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* No prior janitorial experience or formal training is required; previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.

* Must submit to and receive a favorable suitability determination from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for unescorted access to facilities.

* Must submit to and receive a favorable criminal history background check using name and date of birth through the state of residence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Continually required to stand and walk.

* Continually required to use hand and finger dexterity.

* Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

* Frequently required to talk and hear.

* Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions unrelated to weather.

* Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.

* Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or cleaning chemicals.

* Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

* Noise levels in the work environment are generally quiet.

* Occasionally required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
