Kingsport, TN Corporate Medical Department Responsibilities
The Medical Administrative Assistant will share responsibility in providing comprehensive administrative support for medical team members. This typically includes answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, greeting patients, collecting and updating private information, preparing and organizing medical records, scanning/filing documents, referral tracking, processing faxes and referrals, coordinating messages between patients/key stakeholders/clinical staff, coordinating calendars in Outlook, and supporting smooth day-to-day clinic operations. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with audits, managing records retention, budgeting, purchase requisitions/orders/monthly invoices/accounts payable, and responsibility for timekeeping/payroll administration. Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance is required. Qualifications
