Job Summary: |
The University of Colorado's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a part-time 0.625 FTE Assistant Professor. Key Responsibilities: This research will focus on gastrointestinal cancer, inflammation, and metabolism. Patient-derived tissues, organoid models, and translational laboratory approaches are used to study the biological mechanisms that drive gastrointestinal diseases, including colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. The long-term goal is to develop improved strategies for disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
A PhD or MD from an accredited institution in a related field of biology, toxicology, or immunology. Record of published manuscripts and at least five publications in peer-reviewed journals
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience with gastroenterology, colitis, fibrosis or closely related field Demonstrated success in obtaining research funding Published expertise in mucosal innate immunity, inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, fibrosis or closely related field A track record of successful research collaborations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication and organizational skills The ability to work independently within the research lab on techniques and methods related to metabolism, microbiology, immunology, and mucosal biology

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: * 0.625 FTE: $150,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
