Onsite Medical Care Coordinator (Night Shift)

The individual will be responsible for coordinating care for work-related injuries and illnesses including workers' compensation claims, cases related to contracted workers through temp agencies, and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) for a particular assigned business segment with a strong emphasis placed on employee communication. The Onsite Medical Care Coordinator will support day-to-day operations while managing a number of processes: filing workers compensation claims, assisting with medical treatment authorization, incident investigation and analysis, data collection/entry, etc.

The Onsite Medical Care Coordinator will play a key role in initial workers' compensation claim filing, tracking and organizing documents from Medical providers, claims adjusters, internal stakeholders including; supervisors, EHS and HR to aid with the investigation and management of incidents. A successful candidate for this role has worked in customer service or safety, and risk management field with experience in employee relations and administrative support.

The candidate must work well on both self-initiated projects and those driven by priorities outlined by management. Onsite presence required.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM

• Act as initial point of contact for walk-up inquiries related to occupational injuries, benefit questions and employment concerns
• Capture key information about the nature of the injury, including when it occurred, how it happened, and where it took place
• Collect paperwork and file work-injury forms timely to report workers' compensation claims
• Act as liaison and facilitate communication between employees, insurance, EHS, production, and HR
• Resolve workplace conflicts and escalate to the appropriate stakeholder when necessary
• Coordinate through provider network when an employee requests medical treatment for a new injury
• Investigate and gather witness statements, collect information, and track data from various stakeholders

• Background in customer service with a minimum of 1 year experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Quick, accurate data entry, and strong time management skills
• Service oriented, treats colleagues as clients
