Position Highlights

The Department of Health Promotion Sciences in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health seeks an Adjunct Lecturer to teach HPS 478: Public Health Nutrition in person during the 2026 academic year. This is an opportunity to educate undergraduate students in a dynamic, interdisciplinary department committed to improving health and well-being through excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement. The successful candidate will join a collaborative academic environment that prepares the next generation of public health professionals to address complex health challenges through evidence-based practice and innovative learning experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach courses according to approved syllabi.
  • Grade, and work with students who have incomplete grades to complete the course.
  • May supervise graduate teaching assistants.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master degree.
  • Specialized training in nutrition and dietetics (e.g., Registered Dietitian Nutritionist) required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience in Health Promotion Sciences.
  • Doctoral degree in medicine or public health.
