Role Objective

Achieve overall strategic and growth objectives across core vertical markets through effective management and development of Distributor Sales Reps (DSRs) and core end-users in a defined geography. Builds and maintains distributor and end-user relationships, develops business plans, and executes marketing initiatives to advance the Clorox Purell value proposition.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manages sales growth to achieve profitability goals
  • Develops and executes prescribed sales coverage plans or programs, e.g.:




    • Sales coverage e.g. inside sales, digital demand activation (DDA), etc.
    • Marketing
    • New product introduction
    • National/Regional user contracts and National Account /Integrated Supply programs
    • Distributor programs
    • End User Development
    • Pricing Strategy




  • Segments and stratifies distributors
  • Identifies, facilitates, and participates in closure of breakthrough opportunities
  • Aligns resources to service stratified key distributors & users in territory
  • Writes Business Development Plans (BDPs) and Trade Develop Plans (TDPs) and facilitates their execution
  • Conducts Distributor/ End User sales calls
  • Conducts sales and training meetings in person and virtually; prepares individual meeting topics
  • Provides timely feedback and information to sales support, sales management, and works as a team with other sales resources
  • Inputs data via Opportunity Management process using CRM in accordance with standards set
  • Develops mutually beneficial business relationships and trust with distributor employees at all levels
  • Participates in sales effectiveness training
  • Follows established company practices e.g. reporting, expense tracking, etc

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS in business management, marketing or a related discipline preferred
  • In lieu of degree, minimum four (4) years' sales experience in a B2B environment required
  • In combination with degree, minimum two (2) years' sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Experience with the following markets is a plus: Janitorial Supply, Healthcare, Foodservice, Education

Supervision/Coordination

  • This role does not directly supervise other team members
  • Provides guidance to distributor sales reps as needed

Compensation & Benefits

The expected starting pay for this role is between 76,200.00 - 104,800.00 per year. Within this range, an offer will depend on factors such as level of experience and technical competencies relevant to this specific role, as well as internal equity considerations. This role is also eligible for a car allowance and quarterly sales bonus. In addition to base pay, all team members are bonus eligible.
