Data Scientist

Location: Offutt AFB, NE

Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret

This position requires a Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance to be considered. U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use.

As a Data Analyst, you will support USSTRATCOM/J7 assessments across campaign, risk, operations, and Joint Force evaluation areas. This role enables campaign, risk, operations, and Joint Force assessments by integrating disparate data sources, applying predictive and statistical modeling, and producing highquality analytic products that inform seniorleader decisionmaking. The Data Scientist builds scalable data pipelines, enhances assessment tools, and supports AI/MLenabled decision analytics consistent with command priorities.

Who You Are and What You Need:



  • An active, fully-adjudicated TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, applied physics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7+ years of combined experience in data science, visualization, and database work.

  • Expertise in:



    • AI/ML modeling and statistical analysis
    • LLM usage and text analytics
    • Python for automation and data processing
    • SQL and relational schema design
    • Visualization using Tableau/Power BI
    • Integration with commercial AI/ML platforms (Maven Smart Systems, Databricks, AWS SageMaker)


  • Familiarity with API/RSS data ingestion and Agile team collaboration.



What You Will Do:



  • Integrate, analyze, and evaluate diplomatic, informational, military, and economic data to assess progress toward strategic deterrence and operational objectives.
  • Develop and refine measurement criteria (MOEs/MOPs), scoring standards, and defensible assessment logic for formal reporting.
  • Build structured, secure, scalable data systems and develop automated monitoring pipelines for intelligence, OSINT, diplomatic, and afteraction data.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and machinelearning models to identify patterns, forecast outcomes, and uncover new trends.
  • Develop dashboards, visualization tools, GUIs, and connectors that enhance decisionmaking and improve assessment workflows.
  • Produce graduatelevel written analyses, executive briefings, and clear, actionable reports for senior leaders.
  • Support operations, campaign, risk, and Joint Force assessments by synthesizing trends, evaluating OAI (operations, activities, investments), and identifying costbenefit impacts.
  • Utilize AI/ML tools-including LLM text analytics-to augment analytic depth and accelerate assessment processes.
  • Participate in boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups as an analytic subjectmatter expert.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment tools, models, and methodologies.
  • Other duties assigned by Program Manager.
