Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Senior Analyst, Sales Operations position based in Chicago, IL.

The Senior Analyst, Sales Operations is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of pricing data within SAP while supporting budget administration for the Sales Planning and Omnichannel Shopper Marketing teams. This role manages SAP pricing structures, purchase orders, pricing execution, invoicing, and vendor payment processing to support efficient business operations.

The Senior Analyst partners closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to maintain data accuracy, optimize business processes, and support organizational objectives. Leveraging strong analytical and technical expertise, this position identifies and resolves complex business challenges, drives continuous process improvements, and delivers actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of business processes, experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, and the ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams. Success in this role requires a high degree of accuracy, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Data Management

  • Maintain SAP list prices and pricing conditions, including updates related to new item setup, list price changes, compliance reviews, and new customer/vendor setup.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of pricing data through established controls, audits, and quality assurance processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to manage pricing-related data changes and support end-to-end business process execution.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Analyze pricing and EDI transactional data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to investigate and resolve pricing and invoicing issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations that improve data quality, process efficiency, and overall business performance.
  • Support system enhancements, testing activities, and documentation related to pricing and data management.

Budget Management

  • Support the annual planning process by creating and maintaining SAP internal orders for Trade Marketing and Category Management budgets.
  • Create, update, and manage purchase orders for vendors and customers in support of approved budget activities.
  • Process Trade Marketing costs and collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Monitor budget activity and assist with tracking, reporting, and reconciliation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline budget management processes and improve operational efficiency through continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial, sales, or business analytics, including experience working with SAP applications.
  • Proficiency with SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience within the food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or consumer products industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial planning, budgeting, and purchase order processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, and interpret sales and business performance reports to support decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights and actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to identify trends, solve complex business problems, and make sound, data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect data and business objectives to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable and agile, with the ability to manage changing priorities, adjust to evolving business needs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial challenges, evaluate business impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with a high level of attention to detail.
