Unit Description:

6B is a 23 bed post interventional telemetry unit. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoralsheathsand Tikosyn administration. Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry.

Shift:Full-Time, Days

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care teammember

• Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures

• Performs routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation.(Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first yearclinicals.)

• Basic Life Support-Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon'thave it already.
