Job DescriptionROLE The Director, Digital Production is responsible for the operational leadership, production management, and post-production strategy supporting A+E's Digital Content organization. This role oversees the production of original short-form digital content while providing leadership across post-production operations, finishing, delivery, and technical production workflows. The Director serves as the primary production and post-production leader for Digital Content, ensuring projects are properly planned, resourced, produced, finished, and delivered in alignment with creative objectives, audience goals, and business priorities. The role leads through Production Managers, Producers, Coordinators, and post-production specialists, establishing clear workflows, accountability structures, and operational standards that enable teams to execute efficiently and consistently. The Director partners closely with Creative, Editorial, Production Operations, Technology, and senior leadership to maintain scalable post-production infrastructure and delivery workflows that support a growing volume of content. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing new technologies, workflows, and production solutions that improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and collaboration across the organization. The Director continuously evaluates industry trends, emerging tools, AI-enabled workflows, and technical innovations to ensure A+E remains operationally effective and future-focused. This position requires a leader who can balance creative needs, technical requirements, operational efficiency, and business priorities while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
