Auditor I/II

This technical and professional position is responsible for providing independent assessments and audits of the Bank and Holding Company's internal control and regulatory compliance mechanisms, accounting systems, and management's adherence to established policies and procedures. Work is performed within the framework of established audit standards and regulatory examination guidelines with independent judgment and discretion required in performing assigned tasks. The position assists in providing timely, accurate, and independent information to management and the Audit Committee relating to the effectiveness of controls, the accuracy of financial information, and the efficiency of operations.

Essential Functions:

• Perform walkthroughs, control assessments, and testing procedures to evaluate design and operating effectiveness.
• Develop clear, wellsupported audit workpapers that meet documentation standards.
• Identify findings, root causes, and recommendations that enhance control design and operating effectiveness and efficiency.
• Communicate results to process owners in a clear and concise manner.
• Ensure audit engagements are completed within established timelines and quality expectations.
• Assess the adequacy of governance structures, risk management practices, and internal controls across business processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify relevant controls.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends, regulatory developments, and organizational changes.
• Pursue ongoing professional development aligned with IIA competency expectations.
• Build strong working relationships with business partners while maintaining professional independence and objectivity.
• Influence positive change through constructive dialogue and credible recommendations.

Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Economics, Business Finance or Administration.
• Banking knowledge including experience in performing operational and financial audits of core banking applications and/or regulatory examination practices.
• Professional certification preferred or plans to obtain (e.g., CIA, CPA, CRCM, CFSA, CISA, CBA, CRP, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance issues and regulatory examination practices.
• Able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously utilizing planning and organizational skills while maintaining a professional and mature demeanor.
• Able to prepare factual, organized, well written memorandums and workpapers.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
• High degree of PC based technical skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products.

Compensation:

Auditor I - $24.83 - $37.24 per hour
Auditor II - $28.46 - $42.70 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable incentive plan.
