Overview
The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Property Manager for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Asset Management. This position's classification holds a vital role with the Material and Logistical Services area within IP&O (Institutional Planning and Operations).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Provides support in securing and maintaining necessary equipment required by all IP&O departments.
  • Performs services that include but not limited to, maintenance of fleet vehicles, fleet equipment, stock materials, capital replacement recommendations, university wide fleet maintenance logs, GPS system installations, coordination of vendors for fleet vehicle builds, etc.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two years experience supervising a vehicle maintenance or garage operation.

Certifications/Licenses
  • A valid driving's license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications

  • HIPPA certified, Defensive Driving certified, Right to Know certified.
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Roadside vehicle assistance will be required, this will be in all types weather conditions.
  • Trailer towing and emergency snow removal when called upon.
