Production Team Lead

/wp Job Summary: Supervise, manage, lead day-to-day Team Operation in a way which satisfies customer requirements with special attention to Safety and Quality Responsibilities: 1. Maintains an atmosphere of continuous improvement and employee involvement per Freudenberg Guiding Principles 2. Prepares daily records and reports as required 3. Ensures regular training for Operators is thoroughly met 4. Communicates issues and concerns to Business Unit Manager, Supervisor, HR, Ops. Manager 5. Ensures department operates within established management guidelines 6. Works closely with Maintenance on production equipment that may be down. Assist with prioritization of repairs based on schedule priority/ Customer demand 7. Follow, support and promote company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, change, etc. 8. Ownership of the production department and recommendation of changes in practice to remain consistent within existing conditions 9. Assist Business Unit Manager/ Supervisor in providing recognition and evaluation of Operator job performance 10. Identify, advise, eliminate safety hazards while assisting in in the continuous improvement of safe working practices. 11. Submit plans, ideas for improved productivity and cost savings (Set-up, down-time, OEE, TEEP, Scrap, PPM, Output, etc) 12. Leads and maintains department 5-S standards 13. Set controls to predetermined settings for plastics/ PTFE processing. Review parameters when problems arise and make adjustments 14. Supporting ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 15. Other duties as assigned General Comments Qualifications: 1. Extremely Safety conscious individual 2. High School Diploma/GED Required, (associate degree Preferred) 3. Must be 18 years of age or older. 4. Knowledge of ergonomics, lean principles such as: 5-S, standard work, value stream mapping, error proofing, etc. 5. 3-5 years of related manufacturing/ leadership experience preferred 6. Experience in Compression/ Injection molding, CNC, mechanically inclined preferred 7. Strong reasoning ability, able to analyze problems and multi-task 8. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math 9. Efficient work habits and detail oriented 10. Demonstrate strong communication and attention to detail, team oriented, self-starter 11. Ability to read part drawings 12. Intermediate PC skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products and SAP 13. Abide by and live up to the Freudenberg Guiding Principals 14. Near perfect attendance Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs 2. Will require long periods of walking and standing throughout the day 3. Requires use of both upper extremities for long periods of time
