*Job Overview:*
The *Senior Manager, Special Events* leads Bloomingdale's regional experiential marketing strategy, translating enterprise campaigns into locally relevant events, partnerships, and activations that strengthen brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and retention, and deliver business growth. This role partners with Regional Leadership, General Managers, and cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, maximize regional investment, and create experiences that deepen customer engagement and elevate the Bloomingdale's brand. As a key brand ambassador, the Senior Manager builds strategic community and external partnerships that enhance market presence and support business objectives.
*Essential Functions:*
* *Owns the regional event and experiential marketing strategy*, translating enterprise campaigns, brand priorities, and company initiatives into differentiated in-store experiences that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and sales. Leads end-to-end execution, measures business impact, provides strategic insights to corporate partners, and manages the regional investment budget.
* *Develops and executes a regional event growth strategy* in partnership with the Regional Vice President and General Managers, identifying localized opportunities that strengthen market relevance, cultivate key customer segments, and accelerate business performance through elevated events, partnerships, and activations. Provides strategic oversight of regional event programs and, where applicable, leads the team responsible for execution.
* *Serves as the strategic partner to cross-functional leaders* to advance customer acquisition, client retention, and loyalty initiatives through high-impact experiences that deepen relationships, reinforce the brand, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.
* *Leads and develops the regional event function*, providing direction, coaching, and performance leadership for the Event Coordinator while establishing operational excellence, execution standards, and continuous process improvement across all regional events.
* *Expands the impact of enterprise initiatives* by cultivating strategic sponsorships, brand collaborations, and community partnerships that elevate brand awareness, strengthen local market presence, and create incremental customer and revenue opportunities.
* *Acts as the regional ambassador for the brand*, representing the organization with external partners, community organizations, and key stakeholders while advising Regional Leadership and General Managers on strategic community engagement opportunities that enhance brand reputation and business growth.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
* 5+ years related experience
* Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
* Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
*Essential Physical Requirements:*
* Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
* Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
* Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
* Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
