Position Summary The Director, Enterprise Information Governance & Management (EIGM) within Enterprise Data Solutions & Governance (EDSG) at NYU IT, provides strategic leadership for NYU's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) program by establishing and advancing the University's data governance framework, policies, standards, and operating model. The role is responsible for ensuring trusted, high-quality institutional data through effective governance, metadata management, and stewardship across the University's data lifecycle. The Director leads a portfolio of strategic initiatives, including enterprise data governance, metadata management, and master data management, while developing long-term roadmaps in partnership with the Assistant Vice President & Chief Data Architect and key university stakeholders. This role actively advances and strengthens the administration of data governance processes across all institutional domains, establishes enterprise standards for data quality, ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management, and partners with EDSG service leads to align priorities, optimize resources, and deliver high-quality services. Working collaboratively with Data Trustees, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, subject matter experts, and governance groups across central administration, schools, and global campuses, the Director drives the implementation and adoption of enterprise governance practices that promote consistency, compliance, security, and the responsible use of institutional data. The Director also partners with the Assistant Vice President & Chief Data Architect to support the University's Data Retention and Disposal program, driving consistent execution and compliance across the institution. In addition, the role leads the University's Data Literacy and Enterprise Information Management training programs, delivering role-based education, governance guidance, and enablement resources that build organizational capability and support the successful adoption of enterprise data governance. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $170,000.00 to USD $190,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
