Industry Planning & Market Intelligence Analyst

The Industry Planning & Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for delivering strategic insights, industry forecasts, competitive intelligence, and executive-level reporting that support North America business planning and decision-making. This role serves as a key partner to Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Product Planning, and Brand organizations by transforming complex industry, sales, inventory, and market datasets into actionable business intelligence.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical capabilities, advanced data visualization skills, and the ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear recommendations for senior leadership. This role requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets and modern reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Develop and maintain North America industry forecasts, volume projections, and market-share outlooks
  • Monitor competitor sales performance, inventory levels, days supply, market share, and segment performance
  • Create automated reporting solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual reporting processes
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and governance across multiple data sources
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large and complex datasets from multiple internal and external systems
  • Develop scalable processes to improve data quality, forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and business insight generation
  • Perform advanced statistical, trend, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and annual reporting activities


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in business analytics, industry planning, forecasting, market intelligence, sales planning, or related analytical roles
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, complex formulas, data modeling, and automation techniques
  • Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to present analytical findings to executive audiences


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced Power BI development experience, including data modeling, dashboard architecture, report optimization
  • Experience within the automotive industry, market forecasting, sales planning, or inventory management environments
  • Knowledge of industry forecasting methodologies and market intelligence processes
