The AspenTech Performance Engineering Solution provides a market leading integrated suite of products to optimize the performance of process industry assets across the CAPEX and OPEX cycles and is powered by flagship process modeling products such as Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus with a proven track record of value creation over several decades. Your Impact

We are seeking a highly motivated chemical engineer to research, develop and maintain thermodynamic and transport property modeling software for our market-leading process modeling products. The successful candidate will utilize his/her expertise in the area of thermodynamic and transport properties modeling to support various AspenTech products, including Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.

Application Development: Design, develop, maintain, and support engineering software solutions for modeling thermodynamic and transport properties for the chemical and petroleum industry, including flash algorithms, data regression, property estimation, and more.

Research: Investigate new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and in academia to determine how to leverage these technologies within our software applications.

Technical Leadership: act as the subject matter expert for the use of physical property calculations within our software applications, leading engineers to develop robust solutions.

Collaboration: work with product managers, designers, and developesr needs to understand customer needs and translate them into .application solutions.

What You'll Need
  • 10+ years of industrial or academic experience in developing thermodynamic or transport property models.
  • Strong coding skills in either C++, C, or FORTRAN.
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, with a preference for a PhD.
  • Experience in process engineering and optimization will be extremely important including real life user experience of AspenTech Performance Engineering products such Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Problem solving skills and an attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

The salary range for this role is $127,000.00 - $158,700.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
