Job Responsibilities



  1. Maintains truck log and driver log according to State and Federal regulations.
  2. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water and submits report indicating truck condition.
  3. Maintains communication and dialogue with traffic coordinators regarding pickup and delivery instructions.
  4. Assists in loading and unloading of truck.
  5. Verifies Packing Slips and/or Bills of Lading to be sure they coincide with materials being delivered or picked up. Distributes signed Packing Slips or Bills of Lading to proper areas upon arriving back at Mayville Engineering Company.
  6. Ensures that all materials and/or containers are properly identified. If identification is absent, materials or load shall not be hauled.
  7. Ensures that all freight is properly secured to eliminate the risk of damage during transit. Documents any signs of damage, potential damage or discrepancies. Refuses to transport any load not properly secured or packaged.
  8. Drives truck to appropriate destinations in a timely manner.
  9. Obtains or distributes appropriate documentation for materials picked up or dropped off.

  10. During non-driving periods, provide support to plant operations, including assisting with production, warehouse, and housekeeping activities as needed.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Skills Requirements



  • Must have or be able to obtain the necessary driver's license such CDL.
  • Forklift certified, or willingness to become certified.
  • Proficient communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.


Educational Requirements



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.


This position has a starting pay rate of $23.00 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
