Overview

The Director, Addiction Recovery Services is responsible for providing leadership to addiction recovery/substance use programs and services in the Central and East Regions. The director will be responsible for overseeing operations of identified programs/services; achieve key strategic initiatives and performance goals across the assigned regions. The Director will work in partnership with dyad physician leaders, VP- Behavioral Health and will have accountability for identified programs/services. The Director will have accountability for operational performance related to high quality, accessible, cost effective and patient focused care across the full continuum.

This position will also collaborate with leaders of hospital-based behavioral health units to support inpatient care and clinical program performance. This role will participate in the implementation of the behavioral health strategic plan, including formation and implementation of operational plans to align behavioral health growth and program development. The director leads managers, staff and physicians to ensure that operational processes are in place to achieve established quality metrics, physician and staff engagement, patient experience, growth goals, and budgetary targets.

  • Master's Degree: Related Field or
  • Master's Degree: Social Work or
  • Master's Degree: Nursing or

Work Experience:

  • Program development, implementation and operational oversight in a complex healthcare system.

Specialized Knowledge & Skill

  • Proven strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven strong systems assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and assimilate clinical/business information from varied sources (both internal and external) in order to communicate with providers, staff and administrators as well as evaluate metrics achievement.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and evaluation of educational & quality programs.
  • Knowledge of the financial aspects and operations of department and clinic management valuable for the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Ability to lead physicians, clinicians, administrators, and staff.
  • Demonstrates leadership, independence, responsibility, accountability and good judgment.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings, delegate, hold people accountable for performance and deadlines, and determine priorities and critical path items.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for substance use services in assigned regions
  • In collaboration with leadership, facilitate addiction recovery strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze industry trends in the development of operational and programmatic needs
  • Lead addiction service program planning, implementation, and evaluation efforts in the area of responsibility at both a strategic and tactile level.
  • Assume an active role in day-to-day operations of service delivery
  • Work with leaders and team to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives and manage growth of programs.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage capital and operational budgets within organizational expectations.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting patient care services.
  • Supports integration of patient care standards and practice with clinical programs and works collaboratively with leadership, physicians and other disciplines.
  • Responsible for budget and expenses within areas of responsibility
  • Demonstrates an understanding of financial analysis, pro forma development, capital planning and economic considerations
  • Collaborates with leadership to achieve financial goals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $50.12per hour - $86.21per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
