Since 1966, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), a division of Hudson Valley Community College and part of the State University of New York, has offered tuition-free academic and workforce development opportunities to disadvantaged and educationally under-prepared individuals.

The EOC is currently recruiting for the position of:
Adjunct Instructor Building Trades EOC-ADJ-BuildF26
Education (Minimum Requirements):
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess: an Associate's Degree or appropriate educational credits, certifications, Bachelor's of Science in Career and Technical Education, or experience to enable satisfactory performance and instruction in the designated area of building trades; five (5) years of relevant professional experience; demonstrated ability to teach; demonstrated knowledge of Internet navigation and email access. Teaching takes place during evenings and would be located in our Troy location.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with educationally and economically disadvantaged adult populations; and Certified OSHA 10-hour Trainer.
Nature and Scope of Duties
The Adjunct Instructor reports to one of the Associate Dean for Instructional Services and performs the following duties:
Conduct classes in the theory and practice of building trades, including mathematics.
Skill areas include: proper use of tools, machines, and materials; electrical safety; building maintenance; plumbing; and carpentry.
The hourly rate for this position is $47.00.
