Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or a related trade is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions. Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards. Experience Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment required. Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) processes. Experience operating fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, saws, grinders, and other shop machinery. Ability to read engineering drawings and perform welds to specification. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production demands. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Capable of lifting, moving, and handling metal materials and fabricated components. Able to work safely around welding equipment, heavy machinery, sparks, heat, and industrial tools. Must consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to multitask while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. Job Duties Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate production. Measure, cut, saw, grind, and shape raw metal materials to required specifications. Fit, align, clamp, and tack-weld metal components prior to final assembly and welding. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Cored welding on a variety of metal parts and assemblies. Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, grinders, and saws. Inspect completed welds and finished products for strength, dimensional accuracy, and quality compliance. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements.
