Description
The Department of Digestive Diseases is seeking a Staff Research Associate to support clinical research studies focused on general gastroenterology, GI hemorrhage, and digestive diseases. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and senior research staff, the incumbent will collect and manage research data, maintain study databases and records, prepare reports, and support study operations. Responsibilities include documenting medical, laboratory, and procedure results, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA, IRB, and institutional requirements. The position also participates in research team and investigator meetings to support the successful conduct of clinical research projects.

*This is a limited position, which may convert to a career position.

Salary Range: $30.12 -35.92 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work schedule.
  • Experience working in a research setting and understanding relevant terminology.
  • Knowledge of medical record confidentiality and safety requirement and ability to maintain it.
  • Ability to learn new research support techniques and practices as required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and timely.
  • Strong organizational abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines.
  • Professionalism and ability to work with others collaboratively.
  • Typing and computer skill/ ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry, and data storage.
  • Ability to be flexible in handling work delegated by more than one individual.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience or training in research
    data support
