What You'll Do:
  • Lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of cloud software applications within an Agile environment.
  • Develop and deploy microservices to Kubernetes-based environments while integrating cloud and non-cloud components.
  • Partner with development teams and customers to review technical designs, estimates, risks, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Build and continuously improve automated build, testing, CI/CD, and deployment environments using DevOps practices.
  • Provide operational support for applications and tools to maintain high availability and meet service-level requirements.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Computer Science or Science or Technology or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Software Developer.
  • 3+ years of experience in OOP (Java, C++, Python).
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to Kubernetes based environments such as EKS, OpenShift, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience developing scalable, highly available enterprise systems, ideally for Cloud.
  • 2+ years of experience of Java software development including the use of Web Services, JMS, and application servers and JavaScript development with in-depth knowledge of NodeJS or ReactJS.
  • 2+ years of experience developing applications that leverage relational and noSQL databases.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging Cloud services for application development/deployment and using CLI commands and config files to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools and concepts, including but not limited to: Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines & automation.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Knowledge of microservice architectural patterns.
  • Cloud environments with focus on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or similar for other Cloud providers.
  • JavaScript, JQuery, XML, Web services (REST, SOAP) or similar technologies.
  • Scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.
  • Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Experience verifying designs are compliant with specifications.
