If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your HR skillset and join a high performing team consider applying to the Human Resources Associate role. You support a broad range of human resources functions, including benefits administration, HRIS oversight, input and maintenance, departmental invoicing, staff events and recruiting. You administer and process employment and benefits transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and other employee lifecycle events, while ensuring data accuracy, integrity and in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as museum policies, procedures, and best practices.

Other core responsibilities include:



  • Administering and monitoring all types of Leave of Absence cases, benefits changes and elections and serves as a key point person during Open Enrollment.



  • Coordinating employee events, schedule and organize training sessions for our Professional Engagement Program



  • Participating in front-line and volunteer recruiting efforts including, scheduling, interviewing and reference checks.



  • Provide administrative support for departmental initiatives.



The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of human resources experience, including hands on benefits administration, experience with HRIS platforms, Leave Management administration and a general understanding of payroll.

The HR Associate is a trusted professional who handles confidential information with discretion, demonstrates calmness and emotional maturity in stressful situations, communicates effectively with diverse audiences, and builds positive working relationships across the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or other cloud-based applications, along with strong written and verbal communication skills is essential. Open mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for this position.

This is a full-time (35 hour work-week), salaried role with a hiring range of $51,000 to $58,000 commensurate with experience.
