Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and document management systems.
  • Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills.


Experience Requirements



  • Minimum 5 years of executive support, office management, administrative leadership, or related experience.
  • Previous experience supporting a President, CEO, senior executive, board-level leader, elected official, or comparable leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing executive calendars, travel, meetings, confidential communications, and competing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience within higher education, government, public sector, nonprofit, or complex stakeholder-driven organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to anticipate executive needs and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience coordinating executive projects, budgets, events, and strategic initiatives.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to attend meetings, events, and occasional off-site functions as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.


Job Duties



  • Manage executive calendars, meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, and daily priorities.
  • Provide direct administrative and operational support to the President.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and other executive documents.
  • Screen, prioritize, and coordinate communications requiring executive attention.
  • Organize meeting materials and monitor action items, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between executive leadership, internal departments, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate executive projects, track deliverables, and support strategic initiatives across departments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while managing sensitive information, budgets, memberships, purchasing, and executive office operations.
