The Department of Physical Medicine is seeking an energetic and inquisitive research-focused
speech-language pathologist. This position would provide opportunity to conduct clinical research on treatment in stroke and neurodegenerative ataxias, with a collaborative and collegial team of investigators and clinicians. One study is evaluating the neural and behavioral effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) augmentation of language treatment for aphasia. The other study will focus on tDCS and dysarthria treatment in neurodegenerative ataxias. Training is available in structural and functional neuroimaging analysis, tDCS, and other methods of investigation.
