Position Purpose
To provide data/statistical analysis and other analytic research support activities for Dr. Nigra's research lab, including research on US drinking water exposure assessment, epidemiology, policy, and interventions, leveraging collaborations with several large NIH-funded cohorts. To be responsible for the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental and epidemiological data in support of several large grant projects. Independently coordinates with team members and collaborators to complete data analysis activities and exercises a high level of judgment and independent thinking to analyze data and prepare manuscripts.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Bachelor's degree biostatistics, data science, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, or a related field.
* 1-3 years prior experience conducting research related to environmental epidemiology, spatial epidemiology, social epidemiology, environmental health sciences, or biostatistics.
* Proficient in R analysis
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with colleagues across departments and institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
* A master's-level degree in biostatistics, data science, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, or a related field.
* Prior experience in full-time research intersecting epidemiology, biostatistical modeling, and environmental health sciences is preferred.
* Specific research experience in longitudinal modeling, mixtures modeling, and other advanced statistical methods for environmental epidemiologic research is strongly preferred.
* Ability to prioritize work assignments, proactively identify problems, and work independently with minimal oversight.

Data Analysis
* Data management, analysis (primarily in R), and interpretation, including the preparation of tables and figures for manuscripts and writing up results in manuscripts.
* Management of project-associated data, including the development and management of repositories, codebooks, datafiles, and other meta-data. Creates and manages systems to organize and manage the lab's data across multiple projects and collaborators.
* Support other team members in conducting statistical analysis.
* Independently coordinates with team members and collaborators to complete data analysis activities, exercising a high level of judgment and independent thinking to resolve data analysis challenges.
