The Vice President, Information Security provides executive leadership for the design, evolution, and operational oversight of security engineering capabilities that protect the organization's systems, data, and digital services. This role sets direction for securebydesign engineering practices and scalable security platforms, ensuring security controls are consistently embedded across technology environments while supporting business growth, innovation, and regulatory obligations.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish the strategic direction and operating vision for information security engineering, aligning security capabilities with enterprise objectives and risk priorities.
  • Provide executive oversight for the design, implementation, and ongoing maturity of security engineering controls across identity, cloud, application, network, and data domains.
  • Lead and develop senior security engineering leaders and teams, fostering strong technical depth, accountability, and future leadership capability.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders across technology, risk, and business functions to integrate security engineering practices into platforms, products, and enterprise services.
  • Govern security engineering standards, patterns, and guardrails to promote consistency, scalability, and resilience across the organization.
  • Oversee security technology investments, including tool selection, lifecycle planning, vendor relationships, and prioritization of engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure security engineering capabilities are reliable, available, and effectively support incident response, risk reduction, and operational continuity.
  • Translate policy, regulatory, and risk requirements into practical engineering solutions that are measurable, repeatable, and auditable.
  • Monitor security engineering performance and risk indicators, providing clear insight into control effectiveness and improvement opportunities to executive leadership.
  • Represent information security engineering perspectives in strategic planning, architectural discussions, and enterprise decisionmaking forums.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience leading information security engineering or closely related technology security functions in complex, regulated, or largescale environments.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience as a people leader, leading a diverse team including hiring, coaching and performance management
  • Deep understanding of modern security engineering principles, including secure architecture, automation, identity, cloud security, and defenseindepth.
  • Proven ability to lead multilayer organizations, manage senior leaders, and drive outcomes through influence as well as authority.
  • Strong capability to balance risk management, technical rigor, and business enablement in decisionmaking.
  • Experience translating security frameworks, standards, or regulatory expectations into actionable engineering practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.

Target Compensation: $221k - $276,500 annually + annual bonus
