Your Job The Georgia-Pacific IT team is seeking business-savvy technical minded interns to join our team, this upcoming Summer 2027 in Atlanta, GA. This will be a 12-week onsite internship opportunity that runs from late May to mid-August 2027. Our Internship Program may consist of the below roles: Software Engineer Intern Design, develop, test, and support software applications and integrations that solve business problems and improve user experiences. Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to enhance application performance, security, and reliability. Data Engineer Intern Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and datasets that enable reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. Partner with business and technical teams to understand data requirements, ensure data quality, and improve access to trusted information. Support the design, testing, documentation, and optimization of data solutions, databases, and reporting platforms. Infrastructure Engineer Intern Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of network, cloud, platform, and infrastructure services that enable reliable business operations. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with security, maintenance, and operational improvements. Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to deploy, configure, document, and support enterprise technology solutions Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit society through improving our products and services. These are just a few key aspects of our internship program. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Enrolled in a college degree program or alternative program. (e.g., 4-year university, 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.) Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2029. Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship after graduation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify effective solutions. Foundational knowledge of software development, data engineering, networking, or technology infrastructure concepts. Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word) and a willingness to learn new technologies and business processes quickly. What Will Put You Ahead Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2028. Experience applying technical skills through internships, co-ops, capstone projects, research, hackathons, or personal projects. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, Azure, Power BI, Git, APIs, databases, or networking platforms. Familiarity with Principle Based Management concepts.
