Maintain preferred status for internal career growth ESS Requirements: Current NYS CNA certification Minimum 2 years of clinical experience Commitment to: 4 shifts per month At least 2 weekend shifts monthly 2 major holidays per year Ideal for CNAs who want control over their schedule without leaving the Elderwood network. Responsibilities What You'll Do as CNA with Elderwood: Assist residents with activities of daily living based on individual needs and plans of care Support bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility, positioning, and other personal-care needs Respond promptly and respectfully to resident requests Observe residents closely and report changes in condition, behavior, comfort, appetite, mobility, or daily functioning to the nurse Support rehabilitation and mobility goals as directed by the care team Help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and respectful resident environment Communicate clearly with nurses, rehabilitation professionals, residents, families, and fellow CNAs Follow infection-prevention, safety, documentation, and resident-rights requirements Contribute to a team culture built on mutual respect, reliability, communication, and accountability Qualifications What You'll Need as a CNA with Elderwood: Current registration on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry, with no findings or convictions involving resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of property Must be at least 17 years old Employment certificate or permit if 17 years old High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous training or work experience in a geriatric setting preferred A caring, patient, and respectful approach to residents Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors Ability to work collaboratively and follow established plans of care and clinical direction Physical stamina for an active, hands-on resident-care position Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at the level necessary for safe care and effective workplace communication EOE Statement WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
