The Role This is an onsite role in Mission Hills, CA or Tarzana, CA The Director, Business Development, creates healthcare value initiatives related to physician services, including Providence-affiliated physician integrated delivery operations, development and implementation of new opportunities to create new physician delivery models in existing and contiguous markets. Delivers key strategic initiatives related to creating Healthcare Value growth initiatives that drive volume and profitability, including integrated delivery operations, development and implementation of clinical programs and care delivery in existing and contiguous markets, growth of existing targeted services, and the identification and evaluation of launching new business opportunities. This role encompasses developing business plans, operating and capital budgets, variance analysis, implementation plans, marketing strategies, and dashboards/balanced scorecards to measure performance, including volume, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial indicators. The Director prepares for and delivers executive and board level presentations and fosters relationships with governing boards and community leadership to support strategic decision making, organization alignment and growth initiatives. The Director's primary areas of responsibility include developing and building stronger physician relationships with to create alignment with Providence Health & Services (PH&S). In addition, the Director manages and develops relationships with medical groups, IPAs, and health plans; grows existing programs and services; and evaluates and launches new programs and services. Responsibilities include the retention and recruitment of excellent physician partners that enhance the quality of clinical care provided to the ministries served. The position serves as a physician advocate and ombudsman, developing and managing communication between physicians and PHCMC. The Director works closely with Administration, Medical Staff leadership, and Clinical Program Directors to identify physician recruitment needs and priorities based upon community need, Emergency Department coverage requirements, business strategies, and market opportunities, as well as in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations for physician recruitment to ensure compliance with all regulatory and PH&S Legal Affairs guidelines. The full pay range is listed in accordance with applicable law. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, organizational compensation alignment, and the approved hiring department budget for the position. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits. Further, we want our leaders to live in or near the communities we serve. Therefore, leaders applying for this role will be required to work a hybrid schedule, which consists of three days onsite, two days remote and live within a reasonable commuting distance to the ministry or service area they support and lead.
