POSITION OVERVIEW

The Analytical Laboratory TechnicianInternis responsible fortheaccurateandtimelycompletion of routine testing by following establishedSOP's.This internship is available for 12-months, starting inFall 2026. The intern should expect to work about12 - 20hours per week during the academic year and full-time during school breaks and throughout the summer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform various routine laboratory functions in a safe,preciseandaccuratefashion toassistthe laboratory professional staff including physical and chemical analysis of capsule samples.

  • Achieve department and companyobjectivesusing a variety of testing methods and procedures.

  • Gather, compile, and report data in spreadsheet form.Responsible for thetimelyandaccuratetesting of products to ensure compliance.

  • Use various pieces of lab testing instrumentation

  • Communicate results to appropriate customers

  • Follow documented procedures and prepare documentation asrequired

  • Order materials and equipment to support testing

  • Record information in a fashion consistent with department policy

  • Set up,operateand maintain lab equipment/instrumentation

  • Suggest ways to do things better and more efficient

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Accepted or enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university as a full-timeundergraduateactively pursuing a degree in Laboratory Science,Chemistry,Biologyor related field throughout internship.

  • Prior experience in a lab environment or completion of a lab safety course isrequired.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented andsafetyfocused.

  • Ability to complete tasks with little supervision.

  • Ability to shiftpriority oftesting needs.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Capable of working in a flexible, often shifting environment.
