Position Details:

Coordinates and oversees the Nursing Residency Transition-to-Practice Program for new graduate nurses and nurses transitioning into specialty practice areas. Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the residency program and curriculum, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practice, organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, and professional development standards. Collaborates with nursing leaders, educators, preceptors, and clinical staff to provide evidence-based learning experiences that promote clinical competence, professional growth, engagement, and retention. Leads continuous program improvement efforts and ensures curriculum content remains current, relevant, and responsive to the needs of participants and the organization.

Minimum Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Current appropriate state licensure, if required for the discipline.
  • Current BLS Provider certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice, with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of equipment and technology used in the delivery of patient care.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching or coordinating a nurse residency program, transition-to-practice program, or other nursing professional development initiatives.
  • Experience in curriculum development, staff education, and competency validation.
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or related specialty certification preferred.
