Fabrication Associate

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, measurements, and production documentation.
• Basic math skills for measuring, calculating, and recording pipe lengths.

Experience Requirements

• 6+ months of recent machine operation or manufacturing experience required.
• Experience operating industrial equipment such as band saws, automatic welding machines, or similar production machinery.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience working with tools, equipment, or machinery.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and quality gauges.
• 3+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pipe fabrication, metal fabrication, welding support, or industrial manufacturing.
• Familiarity with pipe threaders, roll groove machines, plasma cutting equipment, pneumatic banders, and related machinery.
• Backgrounds in automotive manufacturing, diesel mechanics, machinery maintenance, farm equipment repair, or fire sprinkler pipe fabrication are highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Training provided on pipe cutting and threading equipment.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, move, stack, and position pipe throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment that can become hot.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and operating machinery and forklifts.
• Ability to safely handle pipe ranging from " to 10 in diameter.

Job Duties

• Fabricate, cut, thread, bevel, assemble, and prepare pipe products to customer specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment and machinery.
• Measure, calculate, and cut pipe using band saws, torches, and pipe-processing equipment.
• Move pipe, materials, and finished products throughout the shop and yard using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Perform quality inspections using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspections.
• Support shipping, order assembly, inventory movement, and production operations.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
