Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2026. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and Engineering Intern to support our capital projects team in the Midstream Oil & Gas sector. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience applying engineering knowledge at various points in the project life cycle..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with designs, performs cost estimation, and prepares/submits "Authorization for Expenditures" (AFEs) for capital and expense projects. Evaluation, design, specification, and estimation of costs, for preparation and submittal of project AFEs, is a vital function for this position
  • Supports specifications review and procures materials and equipment for a timely and efficient execution of projects
  • Provides technical support to all pipeline departments that will result in safe, efficient and cost-effective installations
  • Designs, specifies, and procures materials and equipment for projects
  • Coordination support for project planning, execution, and closeout activities
  • Performs cost tracking and status reporting for assigned projects
  • Follows all safety rules and guidelines as established by the company

Required Skills:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from an engineering degree program
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
