What to Expect
Tesla Gigafactory New York is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead CDL Drivers and Equipment Maintenance Technicians. You own safe over-the-road operations, industrial mobile equipment uptime, vendor performance, and the people who run both. You know the work in detail, raise the bar on results, and build a team others can depend on.

What You'll Do
  • Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance for CDL drivers and Equipment Maintenance Technicians; grow a talent pipeline
  • Set the safety culture: enforce EHS protocols, close hazards, and keep licenses and required training current
  • Own preventative maintenance and inspections for PIT, semi-trucks, and trailers
  • Drive fleet uptime; find root causes and fix them instead of repeating the same repairs
  • Manage vendors on cost, quality, and turnaround; hold them to commitments
  • Plan transportation schedules and routes; maximize truckload utilization
  • Staff all shifts, hold the schedule, and keep yard operations accurate. Standardize work (SOPs) and deliver measurable gains in safety, uptime, and cost

What You'll Bring
  • Experience leading heavy-equipment operators; CDL driver leadership preferred. Hands-on driving experience a plus
  • Proven ability to coach people, hold a standard, and deliver through a team
  • Working knowledge of logistics, truckload utilization, and vendor management
  • Mechanical fluency with industrial and commercial mobile equipment (PIT, semi-trucks, trailers)
  • Comfort with data, Microsoft Office, and running to SOP
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to operate under competing priorities and meet deadlines. Flexibility across all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holiday. Ability to work in industrial environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
