Construction Materials Manager - Tyler, TX
Halff has an opening for a Construction Materials Manager for our Tyler, TX office
What you will do:
- Support construction services activities by maintaining project materials records and related paperwork.
- Monitor material testing processes and procedures to verify compliance with contract requirements.
- Develop effective materials management program.
- Maintain working relationships with internal and external customers as well as contractors' staff.
- Train team members to perform basic or routine materials management tasks.
- Attend project meetings as needed.
- Verify project records and material documentation.
- Prepare and submit correspondence, reports, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with on site and laboratory personnel to ensure quality materials are incorporated and proper documentation is provided.
- Ensure project rejects accurately reflect changes and agreements.
- Review and monitor the work of others.
- Standard procedures related to construction and engineering fundamentals.
What you will need:
- 10+ years of experience in the management of construction materials.
- Valid Texas Driver's License required.
- Familiarity with TxDOT recordkeeping/materials management software.
- Effective communication both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
