About the Role:
The Event Planner plays a key role in delivering impactful
conferences, trade shows, and corporate events that strengthen client
relationships and support business growth. This position oversees every stage
of event execution, from venue selection and contract negotiations to
registration management, attendee experiences, on-site logistics, and
post-event reporting. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Event
Planner helps bring marketing strategies to life through engaging events that
showcase Yardi's solutions and brand.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized project manager
who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing multiple
priorities. They will manage event budgets, coordinate vendors and event
services, support sales and marketing initiatives, oversee classroom and
conference programming, ensure compliance with event requirements, and analyze
event performance to drive continuous improvement. This role also serves as a
steward of Yardi's event resources, merchandise inventory, and attendee engagement
tools to help create exceptional event experiences from start to finish.
What You'll Do:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, trade shows,
and other industry events from concept through completion. - Manage event schedules, logistics, and organizational
details to deliver successful and memorable experiences. - Support business objectives by creating events that enhance
client retention, increase sales opportunities, and expand brand and product
awareness. - Collaborate closely with fellow event planning team members
and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution. - Contribute to Yardi's position as a leader in real estate
technology by delivering high-quality events that engage clients and showcase
company solutions.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality,
or related field - Four (4) years of experience in event planning including
logistics, project management, and budgeting - Two (2) years of experience in contract negotiation or trade
event execution - Two (2) years of high-level hospitality experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
- Proficiency using CRM systems
- Ability to build strong cross-functional working
relationships - Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High degree of professionalism
- Strategic thinking with ability to see the big picture
Ideal to Have:
- Knowledge of Cvent, Asana and Confluence project management
tools - Knowledge of Jira issue tracking software
