Schedule/Shift: Monday-Thursday, 9-hour shifts; Friday, 4-hour shift; flexible start between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Position Overview

The Medical Device Assembly & Test Technician assembles, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs medical device assemblies, finished products, and accessories according to established manufacturing documentation. This role performs assembly diagnosis and equipment maintenance while following applicable quality system requirements, medical device regulations, standard operating procedures, and work instructions. The position requires strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving ability, and effective collaboration with production, quality, materials, and engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair medical device products and assemblies according to established work instructions and procedures.
• Perform assembly diagnosis and assist with identifying and resolving product or equipment issues.
• Maintain organized, clean, and professional work areas.
• Notify supervisors or team leads of quality concerns, product issues, or equipment problems.
• Communicate with quality and facilities teams when product or equipment issues arise.
• Provide guidance to team members on problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Complete required training in a timely manner.
• Train other production assemblers as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures, assembly drawings, and controlled manufacturing documentation.
• Assist with the development and revision of SOPs, work instructions, device history records, and other quality documentation as needed.
• Support process improvement and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain compliance with EHS, quality, and medical device requirements.
• Work scheduled or expanded shifts, holidays, or off-shift assignments when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in medical device assembly, testing, troubleshooting, manufacturing, electronics, or a similar technical environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field; an Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Strong electronics and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and process-improvement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong adaptability, dependability, patience, and work ethic.
• Experience working with SOPs, work instructions, assembly drawings, and controlled documentation.
• Ability to work onsite.
• Ability to work scheduled or expanded shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a cGMP or regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
• Experience with controlled documentation and quality systems.
• SAP experience.
• Six Sigma certification or Lean manufacturing experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing medical device products or manufacturing equipment.
• Experience collaborating with materials, engineering, quality, and production teams.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Onsite position.
• Monday-Thursday: 9-hour shifts.
• Friday: 4-hour shift.
• Flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM.
• Voluntary overtime may be available based on business needs.
