Job Summary

The Information Systems Analyst 4 serves as a senior analyst and operational lead within End Point Support (EPS). The position performs advanced business and systems analysis, leads operational workstreams, develops business cases and reporting methodologies, and coordinates cross-functional initiatives affecting endpoint lifecycle management, asset utilization, facilities implementation readiness, printer optimization, IT service management, and customer experience.

Operating under general direction of the End Point Support Manager, the incumbent independently evaluates complex operational data, identifies risks and opportunities, develops recommendations, and leads implementation activities. The role translates departmental strategy into executable plans, standards, dashboards, governance practices, and measurable outcomes. The incumbent regularly prepares decision-support materials for leadership and builds partnerships across technical, operational, financial, and business functions.

  • Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, project management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At lease 4 years' experience performing advanced information systems, business systems, operational, or process analysis in a complex organization.
  • At lease 4 years' experience leading cross-functional projects or operational workstreams with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • At lease 3 years' experience developing analytical reports, dashboards, business cases, recommendations, standards, or governance processes.
  • At lease 4 years' experience working with technology lifecycle, service management, inventory, asset, deployment, or operational support data.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, operational leaders, customers, vendors, and senior management.
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems analysis, business process analysis, requirements development, operational planning, and service-delivery improvement.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint technologies, hardware lifecycle practices, inventory and asset management, deployment operations, and support models.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, develop dashboards and forecasts, and translate findings into defensible business recommendations.
  • Ability to develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, governance practices, standards, procedures, metrics, and executive decision materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to executives, technical teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Demonstrated judgment, organization, political acumen, customer orientation, and ability to lead multiple complex priorities in a high-impact environment.
  • Ability to work within the strict deadlines and within the specific time and budget requirements.
  • Self-motivated person who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of various areas of IT. Broad knowledge of the IT environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 years' experience in healthcare information technology or another highly regulated, high-availability environment.
  • At least 4 years' experience with endpoint lifecycle programs, device refresh planning, asset optimization, printer fleet management, facilities technology implementation, or IT service management.
  • At least 3 years' experience using ServiceNow, asset-management platforms, endpoint analytics tools, reporting tools, or business-intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of procurement, financial analysis, vendor management, change management, and cost-avoidance methodologies.
  • Relevant professional education, training, or certifications in information systems, business analysis, project management, IT service management, asset management, analytics, or a related field.
  • Advanced project leadership, facilitation, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and change-enablement skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills tailored to executives, technical teams, vendors, and customers.

Department Overview

Department Overview End Point Support (EPS) plans, deploys, supports, optimizes, and manages the lifecycle of endpoint technologies across UC Davis Health. EPS supports clinical, research, academic, and administrative environments by promoting reliable, secure, standardized, and sustainable endpoint services aligned with organizational priorities.

The department manages and supports desktops, laptops, mobile computing devices, printers, peripherals, and related operational services. EPS leads or supports endpoint standards, lifecycle planning, refresh programs, deployment readiness, asset recovery and reallocation, inventory governance, print fleet optimization, facilities implementation activities, operational analytics, and continuous service improvement.

EPS works across Information Technology Services and with Facilities, Clinical Operations, project teams, Information Security, Procurement, Finance, Asset Management, and external vendors to improve service quality, manage cost, reduce technology waste, and strengthen operational readiness.

Work Environment
