Drive Fleet Excellence Across a National Supply Chain.

At McLane, our success depends on keeping our fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a Corporate Fleet Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping fleet maintenance strategy, optimizing equipment performance, and supporting transportation operations across McLane Retail, MBM, and Empire Beverage. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide decisions, leverage data-driven insights, and lead initiatives that improve equipment uptime, teammate safety, and customer service.

This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing and able to travel to support fleet operations across McLane's network.

Benefits You Can Count On:

• Pay rate: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
• This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 15% of your base annual salary.

What You'll Do:

• Develop equipment specifications and recommendations to ensure fleet assets can be effectively utilized and maintained.
• Establish preventive maintenance guidelines and standards and monitor compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Analyze fleet maintenance data and equipment life cycles to develop replacement strategies that optimize asset age and reduce capital spend.
• Provide technical guidance and support to business unit fleet maintenance functions across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement systems and processes that enhance divisional maintenance operations.
• Develop executive-level reports and conduct analysis of transportation and fleet performance metrics.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance analyst staff, including recruiting, hiring, performance management, and recognition of exceptional performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve equipment reliability, equipment uptime, safety outcomes, and customer service.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in fleet maintenance, dispatching, logistics management, or related transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance programs, preventive maintenance practices, and equipment life-cycle management.
• Experience analyzing maintenance and operational data to drive strategic decisions and cost efficiencies.
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, preventive maintenance software, and other data management tools.
• Ability to translate complex operational data into meaningful business insights and executive-level recommendations.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
• ASE certification or other relevant industry certifications preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
